Witness appeal following theft from motor vehicles

We are appealing for witnesses following a series of thefts from motor vehicles across West Oxfordshire.
These incidents are primarily occurring during daylight hours, particularly around local beauty spots and popular dog-walking areas. Offenders have been targeting vehicles by:
•     Smashing windows to steal items left visible inside
•     Stealing number plates, which can later be used to disguise other vehicles
If you are the victim of such a crime, please report it to the police immediately. Prompt reporting allows us to respond quickly, investigate the scene, and track potential offenders in the area.
We understand that some victims of number plate theft may feel it’s not worth reporting. However, from a policing perspective, these reports are vital. We can use Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology to trace stolen plates and ensure they are not being used illegally.
